Bijapur and the Gol Gumbaz has become almost synonymous. The Gol Gumbaz is the second largest dome in the world with a diameter of 44 meter. Jumma Masjid
This mosque dates back to the second half of the sixteenth and the first half of the seventeenth century. It has the distinction of being one of the first mosques in India. Afzal Khan's Cenotaph
There is an interesting legend associated with this cenotaph. It is believed that Afzal Khan ordered the construction of this tomb in his lifetime and had expressed the wish to be buried in this tomb. But after his death he could not be buried there.
The Ibrahim Rauza
