Bhopal is a major city, which is located in the North Western regions of Madhya Pradesh. The place is hilly and has moderate weather. In the summer, this part of India remains very warm with temperature reaching as high as 48˚ C (approximately). While in the winter season, the temperature drops to a minimum of about 9˚C. During the month of October to march, the weather of the place remains very pleasant.

Bhopal is located at an elevation of 499 metres above the sea level. Bhopal is the major city of India, which is located in the central part of India. The Bhopal city is located just north to the Vindhya mountain ranges.
Bhopal - History & Legends
Bhopal is founded by the king Parmara. Earlier he had his capital at Dhar. Earlier, the city was known as Bhojpal named after Bhoj. In the 11th century, Raja Bhoja of the Parmara dynasty built two splendid lakes around the city. Gradually the power of the Parmaras declined in power. Later after the death of Mugal Emperor Aurangzeb in 1707, an Afgan soldier, Dost Mohammed laid out the present city of Bhopal.
