By saying this it does not mean we do not value the positivity that comes to humanity due to the use of technology. However, it is also true to say that the newest technology only focuses on dealing signs and symptoms rather than focusing on the root cause. For instance, when it comes to losing weight, technology rushes to shows the newest ways of losing weight first through surgery, however little will you hear of ways that will reduce obesity. However they do not look at the root cause to obesity and what need to be done to alleviate this epidemic.

The media also hinder the changing habits. The media is known to affect the way we react to changing habits after seeing and hearing things that end up affecting the change needed. The response to what we hear and see is irresistible hence the media is a major hindrance to changing of habits.
